I am in London in just over a week and would like to find shops, preferably one off shops not chains, selling silver rings in arty shapes or with semi precious stones. Having no luck on the internet as most of the shops I would be interested in are probably too small to host a site or come first on a search engine.
Willing to travel around London – don’t have biggest budget in the world.

i was thinking of buying a ring made of zinc, and im not sure if its worth buying.. should i buy it, or just look for a sterling silver ring?

Zinc is usually a dull-gray color, silver is shinier. Besides, zinc tarnishes faster than silver.

I have two silver rings and both have gemstones on them they are very tarnish look black almost I want to clean them but with out using none of those solutions you buy and without taking them somewhere to get them clean does anyone know how to clean them using things or stuff around the house?

Oh, are you gonna love chemistry!! This will work, swear, and easy as pie.

Fill a saucepan with water and a good amount of salt (tablespoon or so). Take your rings and wrap them loosely in aluminum foil and place them in the water. Bring to a boil and let boil for several minutes.

When done, they will be shiny and clean, without having suffered through the abrasion of a cream cleaner. Sounds crazy, but it works. You are creating a chemical reaction that I won’t bore you with explaining…. learned it in college though and use it for my jewelry all the time.

I have mostly gold rings i like and wear everyday, including my wedding ring, but I have some silver and white gold rings i like to wear on different fingers also. Can I wear them together?

i recently asked the same question. i was speaking to someon half my age, so i would think she woud know what is correct and what isn’t. i had noticed she was wearing gold and silver together. she even had one ring made of both gold and silver. she said these days it is perfectly ok, even on the same finger. i like the combination. so wear and enjoy!
